Dr. Dave Hepburn

Education

In 1979, Dr. David Hepburn began his medical career with an eight year program at the University of Ottawa. During his time at the University of Ottawa, Dr. Hepburn was a member of both JV Basketball and Hockey teams. In 1986, he graduated with a Doctor of Medicine.

Medical Career

Dr. David Hepburn has established a diverse and successful career in the medical field. He began his career with a 5 year stint as a military physician, which included being a part of the Persian Gulf Wars in 1991. Afterwards, in 1994, he was a physician to the Commonwealth Games, as well as a physician in the 1996 Olympics. Since then, Dr. Hepburn has worked for numerous other sporting teams, including the Canadian Jr. National Rugby team.

After working as a general practitioner for 25+ years, Dr. David Hepburn retired and became a medical consultant. Currently, he works as a Medical Advisor with Plena Global Holdings,  an ingredient supply partner for licensed cannabis producers and distributors worldwide.

From 2008-2014, Dr. David Hepburn co-hosted Wise Quacks, a nationally syndicated radio show, alongside fellow MD, Robert Sealey. Wise Quacks discussed all things medical, from debunking health myths to discussing recent medical discoveries. They interviewed a variety of athletes, health enthusiasts, and more.

In 2009, Dr. Hepburn released a book titled The Doctor is In(sane): The Indispensable Advice from Dr. Dave. Here he uses his diverse experience as a general practitioner to discusses practical medical advice for everyday ailments.
